Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is the only body of professional in the field of Chemical Engineers in India. Northern Regional Centre is one of the more active centre of the Institute having active membership of more than 300. The membership of the Institute provides good forum for the professionals, academics, policy makers to engage among themselves at various events being organized by the centre. The centre organizes technical conferences, training programmes, seminars, lectures etc. on a regular basis. The members have benefit of attending these activities at a subsidized fee.

(A)       The centre has following conferences on regular basis:-

• Annual General Meeting

• Executive Committee Meeting --------     Once in two months
• Open Forum  --------------------------------      Every Saturday
  
  
• Specialty Conferences       -------           These activities are planned and organized
• Workshops                       -------           individually by the Institute or in
• Audio + Web Conferences  ----              collaboration with other professional bodies

                                   
(B)       The Institute publishes quarterly journal – Indian Chemical Engineer, which is available on IIChE website - www.iiche.org.in
A quarterly Newsletter of NRC was being published earlier, it is being revived now.

(C)       Library

NRC has well furnished library having large number of books on Biotechnology, Catalysis and Reaction Engineering, Chemical Engineering (General), Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Energy Conservation and Thermodynamics, etc. which are being procured on the recommendations of our members and faculty from IIT Delhi.
Lovraj Kumar Memorial Trust is donating the books to the library generously and some of the books are being procured from the funds of NRC. The library has some of the useful journals like Chemical Engineering, Hydrocarbon Processing, Indian Chemical Engineer, Chemical Weekly etc. some of the journals are dating back to 1962.
These journals have been donated by our members and we acknowledge their contribution to our library.
             We are also subscribing to the some of the other journal for reference purpose.
We also propose to subscribe to electronic media for access to useful journals / books for the benefit of our members.
